Ceramic Tile Backsplashes

They are easy to clean, and they add beauty to your cooking environment

Any kitchen will benefit visually from a ceramic tile backsplash.

These quilt inspired designs give a kitchen a great look. We can make these in colors to suit your own decor, and there are many design possibilities.

The pinwheel quilt pattern is a very popular design in quilting. For a backsplash design, it created a warm and friendly atmosphere for a family kitchen in this Champion, OH home. Our own design, the pieces were entirely hand cut and hand sanded.

The tile is from the Daltile, Cotto Antico collection, a glazed porcelain tile. The outside border on a design like this can be sized so that the pattern fits within the space. The design possibilities are limitless, and tile colors may be selected to suit virtually any decor. Best of all, you have something that is yours alone, and you'll love being in your kitchen!

Increase the complexity and add more colors.

Another quilt inspired design using a combination of 4" tiles from Italy (Imola) in beige and gray, plus a few colors from our stock of other tile. These neutral tones will go with any color the homeowner chooses to paint or decorate with.

For designs like the pinwheel pattern, three colors usually work best; however more complex designs can use more colors.

Sometimes you just want simplicity.

Of course we can do something more basic, as in the photo at right, which shows a great looking simulated black marble tile with decorative listellos. This looked great with the black appliances and white floor tile, along with a granite look counter top in tones of gray, black and white.
